Jan Ekiert (1907 Kombornia - 1993 Paryż), artysta malarz. 
Uczył się malarstwa u Jana Narcyza Korybuta Daszkiewicza w Miejscu Piastowym, a po przyjeździe do Paryża, w 1945 r., w Académie de la Grande Chaumière, L'école Supérieure des Beaux-Arts i “École d’André Lhote”. W 1951 r. poślubił malarkę Eleonorę Reinhold i zamieszkał na rue Tourlaque na Montmartre. Brał udział w wystawach w Salon de l'Art Libre, w Salonie Jesiennym, w Galerie M. Bénézit, w Nora Art Gallery w Jerozolimie. W Polsce jego prace zostały pokazane w 1985 r. w Muzeum Okręgowym w Krośnie. Artysta podarował swoje prace Muzeum Historycznemu w Sanoku, Muzeum Okręgowemu w Krośnie, Muzeum Okręgowemu w Rzeszowie i Muzeum Narodowemu Ziemi Przemyskiej w Przemyślu. W jego twórczości dominują problemy kolorystyczne. Ze szkoły Lhote'a wyniósł zmysł konstrukcji i geometrycznego upraszczania. Tworzył także kompozycje abstrakcyjne. Najbardziej cenił swoje obrazy pejzażowe, w których poszukiwał własnych rozwiązań kolorystycznych.

Information

Due to exercises by uniformed and civilian services as part of the Alert MCI 2025 exercise at the Royal Castle in Sanok, the Historical Museum in Sanok will be closed on November 19 (Wednesday). Access to the courtyard of the Royal Castle in Sanok will be restricted from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
